Majority of the Practitioners at Origin are regulated health professionals who are required by their governing body to ensure that treatment is safe and effective for their patients. All practitioners work slightly different than each other, and timing may vary slightly by a few minutes here and there with session lengths, though we do our best to manage appointment times accurately. Treatment lengths include health history intake and interview regarding changes/updates to conditions, assessment (verbal, palpation), treatment time and home care recommendations, including time for questions.
If you want to know more about our therapists and have questions about how they structure their sessions, we would be happy to connect you with a practitioner that would suit your needs and therapeutic preferences. Please contact us here.
Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapists’ day that could have been filled by another patient. Our practitioners have faced a severe reduction in their incomes over the last 3 years, and without your support and respect for their time, would face even more hardship.
A compassion fee will be billed for all missed appointments, including illness, transit delays, work schedule changes, etc. This fee is the full amount of your scheduled time.
JANUARY 1-SEPTEMBER 30, we require **24 HOURS** notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment.
OCTOBER 1-DECEMBER 31 is our busiest season. During this time we require **48 HOURS** notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment.
Patients who provide less than the required notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a cancellation fee to the card on file.
Please email us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel your booking and are unable to do so because you are within the fee-window. If we are able to fill the spot with another patient, then of course the fee will be waived. If you have a friend or family member (from a different household, if the reason for cancellation is illness), then we would be happy to see them instead!
Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support!
* Missed appointment fees are not covered by most extended insurance policies.
